CK Power is looking for an Application Engineer at our St. Louis, MO location. The Application Engineer is responsible for the integration, optimization, and application of diesel or natural gas engines in various industrial, commercial, and marine systems. This role involves close collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless engine integration, compliance with industry standards, and customer satisfaction.

What

You’ll Do
  • Collaborate with OEMs to understand application requirements, providing technical guidance on engine selection, integration, and optimization.
  • Support the integration of engines into customer systems, ensuring compatibility with mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including CAD models, system schematics, and performance reports.
  • Assist with application reviews and emissions certification processes as required.
  • Travel to customer sites for support, testing, or training as required (up to 60% of the time).
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle multi-disciplinary problems and work hands-on (independently and as part of the team) to discover and implement solutions.
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ethical conduct.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Self-driven attitude with a hands-on, practical approach to engineering challenges.
  • Ability to understand and communicate written procedures, datasheets, drawings, and schematics.
What Helps
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (EPA, CARB, EU emissions) preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, particularly the integration of major components preferred.
