Building Attendant- 2Nd Shift

Job Summary

The City of St. Peters is seeking dedicated, detail‑oriented individuals to join our team as BUILDING ATTENDANT- 2ND SHIFT roles. Positions may be based at the Rec‑Plex North and South or at City Hall, all located on the same campus. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the community. Second‑shift hours are available, with a normal shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (varies) and a rotating schedule that includes weekends.

• Deliver excellent customer service to staff and the public
• Perform general custodial tasks (trash removal, cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, operating floor equipment, etc.)
• Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Prepare spaces before and after events to ensure readiness for the next use
• Monitor equipment and notify management of maintenance issues
• Assist with basic repairs using standard hand tools
• Shovel and salt walkways during snow/ice conditions

• Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License valid in the state of Missouri
• Fundamental knowledge of janitorial equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
