Building Attendant- 2Nd Shift

Job Summary The City of St. Peters is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Building Attendant to join our team at the Rec-Plex North and South recreation facilities. In this role, you will help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where the community can work out, get fit, and have fun. This second-shift position is key to ensuring our facilities are ready for members, athletes, and guests every day.

Normal Shift: 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (varies)

Schedule: Rotating, including weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service to staff and the public
• Perform general custodial tasks (trash removal, cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, operating floor equipment, etc.)
• Maintain facilities and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Prepare spaces before and after events to ensure readiness for the next use
• Monitor equipment and notify management of maintenance issues
• Assist with basic repairs using standard hand tools
• Shovel and salt walkways during snow/ice conditions

Minimum Requirements

• Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License valid in the state of Missouri
• Fundamental knowledge of janitorial equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
