Overview
We are looking for a Shipping Technician!

- Perform all basic shipping functions, including packing, addressing, and associated internal documentation, as well as crate building.
- Interface with all Seyer Industries personnel to assure internal and customer shipping requirements have been met.
- Prepare parts for processing, check for burrs and abnormalities, take pictures, and check revisions on process.
- Interface with Quality Assurance personnel regarding customer shipping requirements.
- Interface with purchasing personnel regarding process and subcontract purchase orders.
- Build shipping/wood crates to customer specifications.
- Generate all barcodes and documents to ship product.
- Communicate shipments to the Contracts Management department.
- Maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain good communication and working relationships with the Plant Manager, Production Manager, Production Control Manager, Purchasing Manager, Receiving Lead and any other key departmental personnel.
- Ensures that all company standard operating procedures, such as affirmative action and human resources policies, are adhered to while maintaining confidentiality in all matters that require discretion.
- Success in this position is measured by predetermined standards set forth with productivity measurement, accurate and timely reports, customer quality, and delivery data and information.
- Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer-invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example).
- Contact/work with freight lines.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
