Paint Masking Technician (Transportation)

Join Seyer Industries as a Paint Masking Technician, where youll prepare precision aerospace parts for painting. This hands-on role involves masking and unmasking components, interpreting production documents, supporting deburring operations, and helping maintain the high-quality standards required in aerospace manufacturing.

Within the framework of Seyer Industries, Inc. policies and procedures, the Production Support position will have the authority and responsibility to accomplish the duties as described below. The mission of this position is to provide service to all areas while striving to improve processes of the company.

• Read and interpret plannings and sketches for material prep, masking, paint and deburr operations.
• Responsible for preparing parts and assemblies for paint and chemical processing.
• Interface with Quality Assurance personnel regarding inspection criteria and results.
• Mask and unmask parts which are entering and leaving paint and chemical processing operations.
• Assist in deburr operations as needed.
• Performs electronic production tracking transactions as necessary
• Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS9100, for example).
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Physical Effort:
Specify repetitive lifting, bending, stooping, or other physical effort required. Required to lift less than 50 lbs. This position requires long periods of sitting, standing, occasional walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, grasping, stooping, crouching, speaking, listening .
