Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg
Location:
Saint Peters, Missouri.
Employment Type:
Part‑time, Night Shift, Ongoing Staff position.
Provides direct patient care activities in a medical/surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.
Key Responsibilities- Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment; educates patients and families on post‑treatment home care and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members and patient/family/caregivers.
- Proactively plans and ensures communication of the care plan across the continuum of care.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
- Assesses patient preferences and involvement barriers, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and other population‑specific needs.
- Maintains a constant state of alertness and works safely in line with safety‑sensitive responsibilities.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (no experience required). - License:
Current RN license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher).
- Less than 2 years of experience.
