Schedule Overview
This position is part of our Flex/Evening–Weekend Shift team. Employees may be scheduled for either a daytime or evening shift during any given week. Team members work five days per week, with shifts that may fall within the following operating hours:
- Monday: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 5:00 a.m. – 9:0 p.m.
- Wednesday: 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 5:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
As a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), you will work under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician to support plasma center operations, ensuring donor eligibility, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, physical examination, and laboratory testing.
- Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results, notifying donors of unsuitable results.
- Apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) for medical emergencies, including coordination with the Center Physician.
- Provide center-level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) and assist with vaccination programs.
- Handle employee incidents and evaluate the need for further medical evaluation.
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
- Current licensure or certification in the state of assignment:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- State-required certification for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA-approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- At least two years of clinical or hospital experience.

CompensationHourly Wage: $33.44 – $45.98
