We are hiring for a Surgical Technologist opportunity to work in the largest pod on Barnes‑Jewish Hospital’s campus. This unit has 22 OR suites, with 4 suites dedicated to multiple surgical services including otolaryngology, neurosurgery, orthopedic spine, surgical oncology, robotics, and abdominal transplants.

• Monday - Friday, 10 hour shifts
• On-call 5-6 to weekdays/1 weekend every 6 weeks
• 1 assigned holiday per year either in-houseor on call
• SIGN ON BONUS

Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.

• Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies.
• Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens.
• Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location.
