Job Title:
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) works under the guidance of the Center Manager for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. The role involves working within a plasma collection environment, supporting donor eligibility, care, and safety, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and EHS.
Schedule Overview- Sunday – 6:45 am – 4:30 pm
- Monday – 10:45 am – 9:00 pm
- Tuesday – Thursday – 5:45 am – 9:00 pm
- Friday – 5:45 am – 8:00 pm
- Saturday – 6:45 am – 4:30 pm
- Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of serological protein electrophoresis.
- Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results.
- Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, donor transport, and physician standing orders.
- Provide guidance to donors on safety and eligibility issues.
- Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents related to occupational health and seek evaluation by occupational health or EHS as necessary.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations of pandemic threats.
- Support center‑level EHS, including environmental health and safety compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate‑level recognized nursing program with state requirements, or equivalent clinical experience.
- Licensed as RN, NP, or PA in the state of assignment.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience.

CompensationU.S. hourly wage range: $33.44 – $45.98. Pay may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short‑term incentives, 401(k) match, disability coverage, life insurance, and additional holiday benefits. New hires accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation and up to 80 hours of sick time per year.
