New Graduate Nurse

The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing standards after completing a nursing program and prior to licensure. They must obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to maintain employment in Missouri.

• Educate patients and families on managing illness, treatments, and medication administration.
• Use critical thinking to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, promoting patient-centered care.
• Evaluate patient responses and modify care plans as needed.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, and engage in professional development.

• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
• Ability to work safely and maintain alertness, as position is safety-sensitive.
• Must obtain nursing licensure within 90 days of graduation.
