Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

Walmart is looking for a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment in our local retail stores. The role involves diagnosing and fixing equipment, responding to emergency calls, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations while working with hand, digital, and power tools.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
• Use hand, digital, and power tools to complete job work.
• Receive and process repair work orders through the work order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete mandatory safety and tool training.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations according to Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.

• 2+ years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
• Type I, Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid, state‑issued driver's license with a clean driving record and MVR clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work at heights.

• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical licensing in the local city or state.

• Hourly wage $23–$45, plus applicable premiums ($0.35–$3.00 per hour).
