The Boeing Company is seeking an Application Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join the Phantom Works Weapons team in St. Charles, MO (St. Louis Area). This team supports future weapons programs, including the Next Generation Cruise Missile program. This is an opportunity to contribute to high-impact work where interdisciplinary collaboration, systems thinking, and technical creativity come together to shape next‑generation capabilities.

This position requires an Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret & Special Program Access.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software throughout the end‑to‑end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
• Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Active Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret & Special Program Access.
• 3+ years of experience in C++, Python, and C#.
• 3+ years of experience with Linux development.
• 3+ years of experience with git or similar version control system.
• 3+ years of experience in software architecture development and open architectures.
• 3+ years with network architectures and software applications that communicate through TCP/UDP based networks.

• 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experienced Level or Senior Level educational and experience criteria as detailed in the original description.
• Active Top Secret/SCI.
• Knowledge of host environments, including processors, operating systems and networks. Ability to build, integrate and troubleshoot software components.
• Knowledge of software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize software architectures and designs that meet requirements, characteristics and constraints.
• Knowledge of software development processes in compliance with established internal and industry standards, guidelines, and best practices in the development, testing, and deployment of software.
• Knowledge of general and software development and testing tools, capability and usage, including compilers, linkers, debuggers, data analysis tools, graphical user interface builders, post processing tools, requirements management tools, and web authoring tools.
• Knowledge of domains, characteristics, constraints and products that require software and influence architecture, requirements, interfaces, designs, and integration/test approaches.
