MRO Clerk; 1st Shift

Overview

This position ensures that inventory levels are maintained, orders are processed, and supplies are distributed as needed across various departments.

• Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for discrepancies or damages, and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including quantities, locations, and descriptions, using inventory management software.
• Issue supplies, materials, and equipment to departmental staff, recording issuance details to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels.
• Perform physical inventory cycle counts as needed.
• Perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Read, write, and orally communicate in English.
• One year inventory experience.
• Two years' experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to crouch, bend, and lift objects throughout your shift.

• Associate or bachelor's degree.
• Excellent skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in the Microsoft suite.
• Experience with ERP systems and transaction management.
• Previous maintenance experience in a meat or food processing facility.
• Forklift certification.

• Good computer skills: ability to use designated programs including Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Display a strong work ethic and a professional attitude and appearance.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to perform consistent, accurate work with minimal direction, and work successfully as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Develop and maintain effective employee relations.

• Follow and enforce safety rules, housekeeping, and proper operation of equipment.
• Follow and monitor proper safety equipment usage and safety practices.

• Occasionally lift or move up to 70 pounds.
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds utilizing the buddy system or specifically designed lifting devices.
• Requires frequent standing, walking, handling or feeling objects, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and the ability to talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
