We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is integral to managing the company’s financial operations and supporting continued growth. Job Details Responsibilities
  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the CFO's attention.
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist CFO with conducting audits.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Allocate insurance costs to various projects and departments.
  • Track notices to owner (NTO) for all projects.
  • Prepare tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement improvements to the month-end process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables) and accounting software (Quick Books Online ERP, Acumatica ERP).
  • Experience with bank and GL reconciliations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Familiarity with insurance allocation and NTO tracking.
  • Experience with accounts receivable and payable.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
