Construction Accounting Manager

We are seeking ahands-on Accounting Managerto manage the day-to-day accounting functions for a commercialglass and glazing contractor. This role is actively involved inAP, AR, job costing, billing, and monthly close, working closely with project managers and ownership. The ideal candidate is comfortable being in the details and supporting fabrication and field installation operations.

• Perform and manage daily accounting tasks including AP, AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger entries
• Maintain accurate job cost accounting for fabrication and installation projects
• Process and manage AIA billings
  , progress billings, retainage, and lien waivers
• Enter, review, and reconcile job costs including labor, materials, shop/fab costs, and field labor
• Track budgets, change orders, and cost-to-complete in coordination with project managers
• Prepare WIP schedules
  , job margin reports, and monthly financial statements
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Manage vendor payments and subcontractor pay applications
• Monitor cash flow and collections
• Support year-end close, audits, and tax preparation
• Maintain organized accounting records and job documentation
• Must have Quick Books experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of construction accounting experience
  , preferably in glass & glazing
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, percentage-of-completion, and retainage
• Experience with construction accounting software such as Procore
• Comfortable working in Excel and job cost reports
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple active projects
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work closely with operations

• Experience with fabrication shops and internal labor tracking
• Familiarity with Procore or similar project management systems
• Prior experience in a small to mid-sized contractor environment
