Accounting Manager

Location: Saint Petersburg, FL 33716 - fully in office

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, general ledger activity, and month-end close. This role will work closely with senior leadership and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP.

• Oversee daily accounting operations and general ledger activity
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls
• Research accounting matters and ensure GAAP compliance
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Analyze cost and financial variances and provide meaningful insights
• Oversee employee expense reporting processes
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide requested financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
