Grant Accountant
St. Petersburg, Florida (Hybrid)
Salary: $65,000 – $85,000

- Manage the full lifecycle of grant accounting activities, including budget tracking, expense monitoring, reimbursement requests, grant reporting, and compliance with federal, state, local, and private funding requirements
- Prepare and reconcile grant-related financial reports, maintain supporting documentation, and ensure accurate allocation of expenses in accordance with grant agreements and organizational policies
- Collaborate with program managers and department leaders to monitor grant spending, identify budget variances, and provide financial guidance to maximize funding utilization
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, grant revenue recognition, and preparation of schedules for audits and financial reporting
- Maintain grant records within MIP, support external audits and funder reviews, and assist with process improvements that strengthen internal controls and financial compliance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including nonprofit and grant accounting experience preferred
- Strong understanding of grant compliance, cost allocations, and reimbursement-based funding
- Experience with MIP Fund Accounting software preferred
- Proficient in Excel and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
