Staff Accountant

Our client in St. Petersburg is seeking a detail-oriented onsite, direct hire
Staff Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role blends core accounting responsibilities with hands-on accounts receivable functions.

• Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, cash applications, collections, and resolving billing discrepancies
• Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and support collection efforts with internal teams
• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support bank reconciliations and cash reporting
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer billing and payment issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assist with additional accounting and reporting tasks as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency with accounting systems and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• $70-80K
