Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Licensure:N/A
Experience: Extensive clerical experience. Must possess computer and typing skills that reflect accuracy and speed. Must be flexible, well organized and able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks. Must be able to make independent decisions and prioritize and meet multiple simultaneous deadlines. Must have Experience working with Forensic Population.
Additional Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age.
Negative Drug Screening prior to hire and throughout employment
Clear Criminal Background Check throughout employment with Suncoast Center and local checks prior to hire and annually along with DCF Level II prior to hire and as required by DCF, and Must have valid Florida Driver’s License Motor Vehicle checks prior to hire and annually with acceptable driving record maintained throughout employment along with reliable vehicle, valid registration, and valid vehicle insurance.
(must be in compliance with Florida Laws and Administrative Codes with fingerprinting and determined to be of good moral character).

Job Duties :
- Responsible for organizing, coordinating and monitoring the non-clinical operations of the FMT.
- Provides direct support to staff, serving as a liaison between FMT participants and staff, including attending to the needs of office walk-ins and calls from individuals and their natural supports.
- Utilizes an electronic medical record to maintain FMT client records according to agency standards and other certifying bodies.
- Orders and maintains unit supplies, equipment, and furniture.
- Greets people at FMT office and answers telephone calls including performing the following: (1) triage and coordinates communication between the team and persons served; (2) gets answers to questions for persons served, families, community resources, and agencies; (3) works with callers to relieve urgent situations or to temporarily manage them until other staff are available; (4) attends to symptomatic behavior of individuals who come into the FMT office for appointments with staff or of those who come in without a clear purpose;
and (5) decides when and how quickly to refer calls to other staff. - Ensures that program forms are current and available for staff use.
- Prepares letters, memos, and reports using word-processing or excel programs. Requests medical records and authorizations through the HIM department at Suncoast Center. With the help of staff designated as the benefits specialist, designs and maintains forms to obtain and maintain insurance information regarding all persons served by FMT. Processes other benefit requests for individuals and help with insurance enrollment as needed.
- Speaks consistently in a warm, friendly manner to all persons served, guests and staff. Follows up with all pending client issues. Coordinates with staff to obtain solutions to problems. Provides excellent solution focused customer service.
- Collects necessary data and prepares reports. Ensures that all needed reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintains close working relationships with the judicial assistants in the circuit, the Office of the Public Defender, the Office of the State Attorney, the Clerk of the Courts Office, and local law enforcement.
