The Construction Estimator (General Contracting) will prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budgets for a wide range of construction projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial work. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specifications, analyzing subcontractor and supplier quotes, building comprehensive cost breakdowns, and updating estimates as designs evolve. The role also involves collaborating closely with project managers, general contractors, and trade partners to clarify scope, identify cost risks, and support bid proposals and value engineering efforts.

The estimator will maintain and refine cost databases, track market pricing, and contribute to continuous improvement in estimating tools and processes. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Saint Petersburg, FL, requiring consistent presence in the office and coordination with the local project team.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Construction Estimating and Quantity Take‑offs for general contracting projects.
• Candidates should possess solid Cost Management and Budgeting skills to develop accurate project budgets and monitor cost impacts.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with construction estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital plan review tools.
• Relevant experience in general contracting, commercial or residential construction, or cost consultancy is highly beneficial.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work on multiple estimates under deadlines are important.
• Knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and trade scopes across structural, architectural, MEP, and site work is advantageous.
