A client of ours in the Residential & Commercial construction industry is looking for an experienced Pre-Construction Coordinator to join their team in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Facilitate communication and coordination among the pre-construction team, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Document Control: Manage and organize project documents, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and permits, ensuring accessibility to all relevant parties.
  • Bid Process: Coordinate the bidding process, including the preparation and distribution of bid packages, tracking bidder responses, and supporting the evaluation of proposals.
  • Permitting: Work closely with local authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
  • Schedule Management: Collaborate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones and potential risks.
  • Vendor Relations: Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports on project status, timelines, and budgetary performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in pre-construction coordination or related roles within the construction industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
