Job Summary

The Director of Children and Family Ministries organizes and leads the daily operations of ministry for children and families at Our Savior. These include nursery care, kids church, family programming and small groups, school and community outreach, and volunteer support. The Director of Children and Family Ministries is a full-time position.

Job Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees nursey care (birth – 2 years old) during worship services and events
• Organizes and leads the kids church program on Sunday mornings.
• Plans and facilitates family programming, including family nights, service events, and VBS Oversees and supports family small groups.
• Develops and oversees middle youth program in coordination with Director of Youth and Young Adults.
• Engages with the school and community to connect children and families with Our Savior.
• Trains and oversees volunteer teams for various children and family ministries.
• Researches and selects age-appropriate curriculum for children and families.
• Prepares materials (crafts, equipment, copies, furniture, etc.) for children and family events.
• Other duties as assigned by the pastors and Executive Director

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Experience working in a Christian ministry setting, teaching, and/or working with children
• Demonstrates a faith in Jesus Christ, and sets a personal example of integrity, discipleship, and evangelism to the Our Savior community
• Displays passion and energy for developing and leading children and family ministries
• Exhibits an ability to connect and engage with children and families
• Possesses creativity and a desire to adapt to the current trends of children and family ministry

Must take and pass a Level 2 background screening.
