Technical System & IT Expansion Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

Perform as a technical leader across disciplines and/or technologies and assist management in meeting our strategic initiatives. They will drive the proficiency within the team, assure best practices are followed and support the delivery of quality solutions.

• Ability to work in a technical lead role independently.
• Review and evaluate new technologies that may be beneficial to current and upcoming project work.
• Design site and regional infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements and Technology Services processes.
• Participate in the technical design review process to ensure high quality technical designs.
• Align Infrastructure solutions within the overall Technology Services strategy.
• Ability to design solutions on an Enterprise level with a medium level of guidance.
• Assure best practices are defined and followed.
• Act as an escalation point for technical issues and support.
• Identify and communicate risks to the business.
• Mentor regional and site resources on process and techniques to ensure proficiency within the team.
• Perform research and analysis on new technology and business practices with the team.
• Perform and/or support other duties and responsibilities of team members as required.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Proven proficiency across multiple disciplines and/or technologies.
• Fluent in business processes and best practices.
• Advanced Cisco networking skills.
• Advanced Windows 2008 R2 and Ubuntu Linux OS skills.
• Advanced design and architecture experience.
• Knowledge of cloud-based technologies.
• Knowledge of HP server and storage-based technologies.
• Experience in automated manufacturing environments, preferred.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
