Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and hard-working Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Amusement/Theme Park Industry and an equivalent experience in mechanical and/or electrical applications engineering related to amusement ride machinery. The position is based in St. Petersburg, FL.

Responsibilities

* Design and develop mechanical systems for amusement park rides.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand technical complexities.

* Manage projects efficiently, meeting tight deadlines.

* Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Essential Skills

* 3-5 years of experience in the theme park industry with mechanical engineering related to amusement park machinery.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical design, steel construction, welding, fasteners, machining, bearings, wheels, and conveyance systems.

* Proficiency in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Knowledge of control systems, power distribution, motors, and motor control systems.

* Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and human factors.

* Fluency in additional languages is a plus.

* Knowledge of MS Project is beneficial.

* Strong expediting and project management skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Petersburg, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
