Description

The Manufacturing Technician (Level IV) serves as the primary technical authority on the production floor. You will oversee the assembly, integration, and high-level debugging of complex electro-mechanical robotic systems. This is a "Technician-role that requires not only elite mechanical and vacuum system skills but also the ability to lead continuous improvement."

Key Responsibilities
  • System Integration & Authority: Lead the assembly and calibration of high-load robotic systems and vacuum wafer-handling tools to rigorous Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP).
  • Advanced Diagnostics: Perform expert-level root-cause analysis on electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems, troubleshooting down to the component level when standard SOPs require engineering level troubleshooting.
  • Process Ownership: Collaborate w/ Manufacturing Manager and Engineering to validate and refine SOPs and kitting. Assist in implementing 5S and Lean methodologies to optimize station cycle times.
  • Mentorship: Technical lead for Tech II and III staff; responsible for certifying the team on specialized equipment such as helium leak detectors and precision metrology tools.
  • Quality & Shipping: Conduct comprehensive pre-Quality audits to ensure assemblies are 100% compliant before submission to Quality lead for final sign-off.
  • Acts as the primary technical partner to the Manufacturing Engineer for 'Copy Exact' compliance on the floor.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of direct experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing or high-precision robotics.
  • Associate’s degree (A.S.) from two-year college or technical school or military training is a plus.
  • Technical Mastery: Expertise in Helium Leak Detection and vacuum integrity.
    • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Solid Works/Composer) for assembly visualization.
    • Advanced skill with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, torque programs, and precision alignment tools.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of coaching and developing small teams or managing complex technical projects independently.
Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to interpret complex schematics and fluid power diagrams.
  • Strong analytical skills to solve "edge-case" technical problems without existing documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting to engineering teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (up to 15%) for critical field service or partner site support.
