Mechanical Engineers (St. Petersburg, FL)
Responsibilities- Design and develop orthopedic surgery tools that extract medical implants pertaining to total hip revision and other joint surgeries, applying principles of mechanical design, machine design, kinematics and dynamics, and applied FEA (finite element analysis).
- Create technical drawings and schematics of tool designs using Solid Works and mechanics of solids.
- Test and evaluate designs and finished products to ensure safety and durability using mechanical manufacturing processes.
- Attend and represent the company at medical device trade shows and orthopedic conferences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Skills and knowledge in Solid Works, machine design, kinematics & dynamics, applied FEA, mechanics of solids, and mechanical manufacturing processes.
