Concept Group LLC is a growing manufacturing firm in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Concept Group specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of high-performance thermal insulation using patented and proprietary technologies including Insulon® vacuum insulation, multi-layer insulation, and other compatible materials. Concept Group serves a variety of industries including semi-conductor, aerospace, consumer devices, energy, health care/medical, and more.
The PositionSeeking a highly motivated, hands‑on engineer to join our team. You will be part of a talented and innovative group of engineers who collaborate to develop unique, high-performance thermal solutions for a global clientele. This position offers an opportunity to work on the entire lifecycle of a product – from conceptual development to manufacturing at scale.
Responsibilities- Leverage Insulon® Technology to develop effective solutions for complex thermal challenges.
- Execute assigned engineering projects by following established standard operating procedures.
- Consult with managers to develop project plans and strategies.
- Design, build, and test prototypes for assigned projects.
- Develop and execute thermal validation tests to qualify product performance.
- Follow design guidelines to develop manufacturing-friendly products.
- Provide engineering support to the manufacturing team
- Continuous improvement projects
- Designing assembly and test systems and implementing technical changes to design
- Creating work instructions, process flow charts, and other supporting documents
- Interface with Operations, Quality, and Procurement personnel
- Communicate with clients as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects.
- Work closely with clients to develop a holistic and intricate understanding of their product’s thermal challenges and requirements.
- Contribute to the advancement of Insulon® and other proprietary technologies through creative thinking, independent research, and methodical experimentation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited four‑year college or university
- 0-3 year(s) experience in thermal engineering applications
- Comprehensive understanding of heat transfer principles
- Strong mechanical aptitude: ability to conceptualize and create mechanical designs
- Experience with Solid Works; other CAD software experience acceptable
- Creating and interpreting detailed engineering drawings
- Deep understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack‑ups
- Experience with FEA/CFD tools is desirable
- Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with heightened focus on attention to detail
- Desire to work in a combination of office and shop floor environments
- Fluency in written and verbal technical communication
- Experience with electronic controls (micro‑controllers, PLC, etc.) and mechanical systems is desirable
- Medical, Dental, Vision, AD&D eligible after 90 days of successful employment.
