ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN INSPECTION

• Salary Range: $35.00 to $40.00 hourly
Aerodyne Industries, an engineering and IT services firm headquartered on Florida’s Space Coast, is looking for an Engineering Technician for the COMET contract at Kennedy Space Center.
Areas of Responsibility- Performs non‑routine and complex inspection assignments involving flight hardware, GSE, and manufacturing of flight and GSE hardware.
- Inspects major units, devices, or equipment; validates work performed on installations, tests or experiments.
- Assists in inspection tests to evaluate equipment performance.
- Demonstrates proficiency and mentors less experienced technicians and engineers.
- Applies engineering principles and theories in inspecting, testing, and modifying equipment for flight and GSE under direction of engineering staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports 2nd shift, weekends and overtime as needed.
- Works at heights, climbs stairs and ladders, operates in confined spaces.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with technical training in applicable area of expertise.
- Minimum 18 years of related experience and technical training and certification in aerospace systems and equipment (accepted disciplines across all areas of industry).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and obtain/maintain a security clearance.
- Support all shifts, work at various facilities, and support multiple groups as directed by manager.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to pass a SCAPE Physical.
- Follows work instructions, interprets engineering drawings, and adheres to safety protocols.
- Complete work safely, in accordance with NASA and company safety standards.
- Work primarily in an indoor environment, with field work as needed.
- Support launches by working among equipment and stations.
- Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residence.
- Comply with drug‑free workplace requirements.
