Structural Engineer - Steel Structures, Level II

As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will work on designing and developing key structural ground systems for Blue Origin's launch site at LC-36 (Cape Canaveral, FL). You'll have the unique opportunity to be part of a great team building the ground mechanical and structural systems and GSE (Ground Support Equipment) for Blue Origin's giant rockets, New Glenn and New Glenn 9x4!

• Work under guidance of senior engineers, perform analysis and design tasks with oversight.
• Develop structural design solutions for large structural/mechanical systems under senior guidance.
• Perform FEA and hand‑calculations for steel structures.
• Support management of external design and fabrication partners, assist in overseeing equipment fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing & activation.

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• 3+ years experience with a strong background in design, analysis, and construction of large steel structural systems (e.g., steel towers, launch vehicle GSE, aerospace tooling, oil & gas structures, movable structures, steel bridges and platforms).
• Experience in structural analysis utilizing FEA tools.
• Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded connections.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Experience in STAAD, ANSYS, and SAP
  2000.
• Knowledge of civil engineering codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE, AISC, AWS).
• Experience in PTC Creo/Windchill.
• 1+ years direct GSE design and analysis experience.
