Geo Sonics, Inc. a seismic consulting company, is seeking a full-time Engineer Assistant Technician to join our team at our St. Petersburg, Florida location.

As the Engineer Assistant Technician, you will be responsible for calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and prototyping equipment, as well as debugging code and supporting manufacturing and assembly activities.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Perform calibration of equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Test equipment and support prototyping of new products
  • Debug code and perform component-level troubleshooting on repairs
  • Assemble cables and perform mechanical assembly
  • Read and work from assembly drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Background and

Experience:
  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics and/or Military Experience in Electronics
  • Component-level troubleshooting experience on repairs
  • Experience with through-hole and surface-mount soldering
  • Experience with cable assembly and mechanical assembly
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuits
  • Proficiency with a multimeter and oscilloscope
  • General knowledge of equipment calibration
  • Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • General computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to move or lift up to 35 pounds
