Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provides administrative and operational support to the loan and retail areas of the bank. Delivers customer service at the highest levels to both internal and external customers, which includes performing research and resolving account/customer issues. Works closely with commercial bankers and provides telephone and in-person service to commercial banking customers with large and complex accounts. Reports to the commercial loan assistant manager.

This is a hybrid role based in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with commercial lenders to assist with loans by obtaining financial data including drafting letters and agreements, clearing exceptions, and obtaining collateral documentation.
  • Obtain credit information prior to submitting a credit package and ensure the file is complete.
  • Coordinates with attorneys, title companies, and insurance agents to gather all required documentation.
  • Ensures all loan packages have been approved by the appropriate level of authority.
  • Prepares loan documentation for conventional commercial loans including loan documentation in Laser Pro, post-closing agreements, hypothecation agreements and UCC filings.
  • Orders appraisal bid requests and environmental reports as needed.
  • Processes general ledger entries, issuance of cashier’s checks (loan proceeds), and preparation of outgoing wires as needed.
  • Clears collateral and insurance exceptions.
  • Oversees the loan documentation relating to the opening, servicing and closing of all loans.
  • Coordinates and reviews attorney prepared loan documentation.
  • Supports one or more commercial bankers with large and complex loan portfolios by managing relationships, processing transactions, renewing loans, resolving account/customer issues, and providing additional administrative support.
  • Assists Commercial Bankers in managing the deposit relationship and related services, i.e. wires, account setup, approvals, signatures, etc.
  • Perform duties as assigned within administrative, operational and sales functions.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of previous customer service experience in the banking industry.
  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial loans.
  • Experience with Laser Pro preferred.
  • General knowledge of loan documentation and financial statement requirements for loans.
  • General knowledge of treasury services, merchant services, card services, asset-based lending functions, and securities, etc.
  • Ability to balance administrative functions and meet service expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
