• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.
• Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.

• Certification/Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support); CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred;
  Patient Care Technician - preferred
• Education:
  
  High School or Equivalent;
  Associate's degree in related field

• Mental Health Technician II: 6 months of Psychology based experience or bachelor's degree in related field
• Mental Health Technician Pool: 6 months of Psychology based experience - preferred
