Full Time, Day Shift 8am-4:30pm
Work LocationAll Children's Hospital
- Core Lab, Saint Petersburg, FL
- This position will primarily focus on Chemistry and Urinalysis services, while also providing support for Hematology and Coagulation services within the Core Laboratory.
- The laboratory manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine through implementation of strategy, policy, and action plans.
- Manages the ongoing analysis, development and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of services and functions resulting in positive patient outcomes.
- Accountable for driving excellence throughout the assigned sections.
- Acts as a partner of the leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and the attainment of goals for each area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, or a related field.
- Current Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License in all area(s) of responsibility from the State of Florida.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive related experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred
- Ability to travel to various work locations is required.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Discretion in handling of confidential information.
- Record of demonstrating initiative, self-direction and independence of thought, coupled with a diversified and creative approach to problem solving.
- Sound administrative skills including experience with financial and personnel management.
- Knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office and laboratory information systems.

Minimum 44.86/hour - Maximum 71.77/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
