Job Description

This position will follow our hybrid work model; we expect the selected candidate to be in the office 2-3 days a week at one of the following Corporate Office locations:
St. Petersburg.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for strategic oversight of the Raymond James IT Change Management life-cycle and the Raymond James Problem Management life-cycle to include ensuring changes and problems efficiently meet control objectives, that the life-cycle is intuitive and transparent for participants, and that critical linkages with dependent service management (ITIL) processes exist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and work direction to other Change Management and Problem Management associates.
  • Form strategic partnerships across the organization to become a valued partner.
  • Review, process, track, and coordinate the change requests submitted for production changes to minimize the impact or downtime to production.
  • Review, process, track, and coordinate problem discussions to document root cause and fixes that minimize the recurrence of incidents.
  • Respond to internal and external audit requests.
  • Provide support and recommendations to Information Technology (IT) departments concerning the use of Change Management and Problem Management tools and processes.
  • Assist in maintaining and reviewing the schedule for IT changes to enable proper scheduling and provide information about the changes to IT management.
  • Develop a global technology change program.
  • Own the Change Advisory Board and other relevant change-related meetings.
  • Participate in Major Incident / Problem review discussions and other relevant problem-related meetings.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Change Management and Problem Management tools and processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend methods and tools for streamlining and improving the change and problem processes.
  • Be responsible for Change Management and Problem Management policies and procedures.
  • Conduct monthly Change Management compliance audits.
  • Lead and/or participate in Change Management and Problem Management related projects.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Education/Previous Experience:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience including management or leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
    • Financial Services experience highly preferred.
    • Experience in Change Management, Problem Management, ITIL, Service Management.
    • May occasionally work a non-standard schedule including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.

    Licenses and Certifications:
    ITIL V4 Foundations or ability to obtain within 1 year.
