Position: Receptionist (CSC)

Client Service Coordinator (Receptionist)

At Banfield, our Client Service Coordinators are the heartbeat of the hospital. As the first friendly face and voice our clients experience, you help create a welcoming, compassionate environment where pets and their people feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door. This role is ideal for someone who loves helping others, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and believes pets deserve the very best care.

Responsibilities
  • Create a warm, positive first impression for every client and pet.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to support high‑quality care.
  • Check clients in and out efficiently while reviewing services and estimates.
  • Answer phones, respond to questions, and educate clients on Banfield wellness plans.
  • Handle payments and maintain accurate medical and client records.
  • Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Advocate for pets and help clients understand the value of preventive care.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography (x‑ray) and exposure to radioactive substances.
  • One year of related customer‑service experience required.
  • Background in veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, or equivalent with medical terminology training is preferred.
Capabilities
  • Multi‑task: manage several tasks simultaneously with accuracy and poise.
  • Communication: read, write and speak fluent English; demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational: systematic approach to assignments; able to cut through confusion and create order.
  • Problem solving: identify, analyze and solve problems; translate problems into practical solutions.
  • Client service: deliver attentive, courteous, and informative service.
  • Intellectual: follow instructions delivered orally, in writing or diagram format; provide directions.
  • Mathematical: perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and compute rate, ratio, percent, and unit conversions.
  • Computer: confident use of computer and specialized software;
    Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.

Pay range: $15.00 – $18.69 hourly.
