This OPS position is a GIS/database analyst with the Fish and Wildlife Research Institute's Marine Mammal Section, supporting Florida marine mammal population research and monitoring. The role involves geographic information systems and data management tasks, including entering and verifying spatial data, developing processing scripts, managing databases, creating cartographic products, and providing technical support to section staff using GIS, relational databases, and programming languages.

- 5 years of professional experience in a closely-related biological field or laboratory program, or a bachelor's degree in biological sciences with 1 year of professional experience, or a master's degr
- Coursework or demonstrated experience in GIS and computer programming languages such as Python or R
- Skilled at using Microsoft Excel, Access, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Python, R, and/or SQL
- Knowledge of GIS, relational databases, and data management principles
- Ability to maintain, process, and summarize spatial data using GIS applications and programming scripts
- Valid Driver's License
