This role administers a shared, multi-org or multi-business-unit Salesforce environment that supports distinct product lines and sales processes across the enterprise. Beyond system administration, this person is the primary point of contact for salespeople and other end users across the subsidiaries, providing hands-on guidance, best-practice recommendations, and ongoing knowledge sharing so the sales organization gets full value out of the platform.

The Salesforce Administrator translates requirements from subsidiary stakeholders into scalable platform solutions while protecting a single set of data, security, and automation standards across the holding company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and continuously optimize Salesforce across all BFC subsidiaries, ensuring the platform reflects each business unit's sales process while adhering to one enterprise data model and governance standard.
  • Serve as the go-to point of contact for salespeople and other end users across subsidiaries, fielding day-to-day questions and providing guidance on how to use Salesforce effectively within their specific sales process.
  • Advise subsidiary sales teams on best practices for pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and data entry, recommending workflow or configuration changes that remove friction and improve adoption.
  • Build and maintain a knowledge-sharing cadence with sales users, including tip sheets, office hours, release-update briefings, and a living FAQ, so best practices spread across subsidiaries rather than staying siloed with power users.
  • Manage users, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and territory structures so that subsidiary teams see the data relevant to their business without compromising enterprise-wide security.
  • Build and maintain declarative automation (Flow, validation rules, approval processes) to support sales, underwriting referral, and service workflows for each subsidiary, retiring legacy workflow rules and process builder in favor of current best practice.
  • Own data quality across the shared org, including deduplication, standardized picklists, and record-type governance that keep subsidiary-specific data distinguishable and reportable at the enterprise level.
  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards that roll up from individual subsidiary performance to consolidated enterprise views for executive and board reporting.
  • Manage integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (policy administration, document management, marketing automation) in partnership with the DT&EE engineering team.
  • Evaluate new Salesforce releases, features, and App Exchange tools, and recommend adoption where they advance enterprise value across financial, operational, customer, employee, risk, or strategic capability dimensions.
  • Resolve support tickets and troubleshoot issues raised by users across subsidiaries, prioritizing based on business impact and maintaining clear service-level expectations.
  • Develop and deliver onboarding and ongoing training so subsidiary teams with different workflows can use Salesforce effectively and consistently, building sales-user proficiency rather than just resolving individual tickets.
  • Partner with subsidiary leaders and the DT&EE team to gather requirements, scope enhancements, and manage a shared release calendar that avoids conflicting changes across business units.
  • Maintain a sandbox and change management strategy (version control, deployment pipeline, testing) appropriate for a multi-subsidiary production environment.
  • Support compliance and audit needs specific to an insurance holding company, including field-level security, data retention, and access controls aligned to regulatory requirements.
