The Procurement Manager oversees end-to-end purchasing activities across specialized suppliers, equipment, tools, parts, and raw materials in support of PPS operations, production schedules, and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) grant award project requirements. This role ensures timely and accurate procurement execution, supplier oversight, and material availability while achieving cost, quality, and performance targets.

Required Education and

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or materials management.

Experience managing purchase orders, requisitions, supplier communications, and order status.

Experience sourcing and purchasing components, raw materials, equipment, tools, or other technical products.

Strong understanding of supplier evaluation, negotiation, pricing, delivery, quality, and performance management.

Ability to review technical specifications, drawings, statements of work, and other purchasing requirements to ensure order accuracy.

Experience managing multiple suppliers and competing procurement priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, purchasing systems, or other procurement software.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Production, and Project Management teams.

Preferred Education and

Qualifications:

Experience supporting federally funded projects, DOE grants, government contracts, or other regulated programs.

Experience in specialized manufacturing, aerospace, defense, energy, or other highly technical industries.
