PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in West Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

General Description

Responsible for maintenance, upkeep, and appearance of facilities at various or specific locations throughout Operation PAR and its affiliates.

Essential Job Functions
  • Minimum 1-5 years working in building maintenance.
  • Self‑motivating; can troubleshoot repair needs and work on tasks to completion.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner, maintain buildings, and all related equipment.
  • Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
  • Maintains and repairs maintenance equipment.
  • Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two‑way communication concerning maintenance issues.
  • Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
  • Works with Directors at MAPS facilities to coordinate vendors and inspectors to ensure city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are always met.
  • Experience and knowledge of building maintenance and use of power and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of vehicle service needs: oil changes, wiper blades, car batteries, first‑aid kits, etc. (where required).
Certificates and Education
  • High School or equivalent Diploma (GED).
Essential Physical Skills
  • Ability to drive a commercial‑size van.
  • Ability to speak and write coherently.
  • Able to lift 25–50 lb, bend, crouch, and climb ladders.
  • Good vision and hearing.
Special Requirements
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be cleared by PAR auto insurance carrier to operate PAR vehicles.
  • Must pass level II background and drug screen.
  • Must maintain current training as required by Operation PAR, Inc. policies.
