The Production Specialist will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring the timely and precise delivery of wide-format printing projects. This office-based role involves operating printing and finishing equipment, maintaining quality standards, and collaborating with the team to meet client expectations.

• Operate Wide-Format Printing Equipment:
  • Manage and run wide-format printers, laminators, and other finishing equipment with precision.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize print quality based on project requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Inspect all printed materials for color accuracy, resolution, and overall quality before and after production.
  • Address any defects or inconsistencies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the design team to resolve any issues related to artwork or file formats.
• Material Preparation and Handling:
  • Prepare substrates, such as vinyl, fabric, and rigid boards, for printing or finishing processes.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and trim materials using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Manage inventory of printing materials, ensuring supplies are adequately stocked.
• Finishing and Assembly:
  • Perform laminating, mounting, and assembling tasks for finished products like banners, signs, and displays.
  • Package and prepare products for delivery, ensuring they are protected and labeled correctly.
  • Create custom solutions for unique client needs, such as trade show displays or custom signage.
• Production Scheduling and Deadlines:
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects, coordinating with sales and customer service teams to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain an organized workflow to ensure timely completion of all production tasks.
• Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with equipment, minimizing downtime.
  • Work with equipment vendors and service providers for repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules and completed repairs.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Act as a liaison between production, design, and sales teams to clarify project specifications and timelines.
  • Provide technical input on project feasibility, materials, and production methods.
• Safety and Organization:
  • Follow all safety protocols when handling equipment, chemicals, and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized production space to ensure efficiency and compliance with workplace standards.
