Hours:
7am-7pm, 2-2-3 rotating shift. Must be able to work any day of the week.
Salary: $25/hr.
Employment Type:
1-3 month contract with possibility of extension
Environment:
This client operates within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment where materials are carefully managed and supplied to support production operations.
The position plays an important role in maintaining the flow of raw materials, ensuring accurate documentation, supporting production schedules, and following GMP, safety and security requirements.
Job Scope:- Coordinates and issues raw materials to Production Work Orders for dispensing and non-dispensed material requirements.
- Maintains accurate documentation including logbooks, Work Order Parts Lists, and records of all movement of lot-controlled materials in DSI/JDE.
- Reviews Work Order schedules and creates hard copy Work Order Parts Lists in J.D. Edwards for staging.
- Communicates with Production Supervision regarding issues with raw material requirements.
- Coordinates the return of undispensed raw materials to the warehouse, empty containers for disposal, and waste materials for pickup by outside contractors.
- Locates materials for QC and stages materials for inspection.
- Performs physical inventory counts as a secondary duty.
- Loads and unloads off-hour deliveries.
- Controls the flow of materials through production or distribution.
- Handles non-hazardous, hazardous and DEA waste.
- Follows all safety and health rules and regulations associated with the position.
- Complies with all procedures within the company security policy.
- Maintains Hazmat training requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of forklift experience in a materials management or production planning environment
- Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP-regulated industry desirable
- Extreme attention to detail and highly organized
- Familiarity with an ERP environment
- Intermediate computer skills, including Windows navigation and data entry
- Experience with an R.F. Locator System required
- Must be capable of obtaining company forklift certification for various types of powered equipment
- Must be capable of operating a Man-Up forklift that elevates the individual approximately 20 feet above the floor for picking raw material pallets
- Hazmat training required
- Must be able to work a 7am-7pm 2-2-3 rotating schedule
- Must be available to work any day of the week
- Must be able to work onsite
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
