Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry – St. Petersburg, FL
A healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Medical‑Surgical/Telemetry team. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting positive patient outcomes in an acute care environment.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process and established clinical standards
- Provide direct nursing care to medical‑surgical and telemetry patients in an acute care setting
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and respond to changes in status
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate patient care plans
- Organize, prioritize, and update care plans in partnership with patients and families
- Identify patients at risk for injury and implement appropriate safety interventions
- Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Demonstrate professional accountability and participate in ongoing learning and development initiatives
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Minimum of six months of Registered Nurse experience in an acute‑care setting
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
