Charge Registered Nurse (RN) – St. Petersburg, FL

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Operating Room team. This full-time leadership role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional perioperative care while supporting staff development and promoting clinical excellence in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

• Provide direct nursing care to a sub-specialty surgical patient population using the nursing process and established clinical standards
• Coordinate and oversee daily patient care activities and support efficient operating room operations
• Utilize effective leadership and managerial skills to guide patient care delivery
• Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource for nursing team members
• Promote safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care practices
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities and monitor the quality of care delivery
• Support staff development, education, and onboarding initiatives
• Perform preceptor and charge nurse responsibilities as assigned
• Demonstrate professional accountability and participate in ongoing professional development activities
• Share organizational information and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS certification required if applicable to the department
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), bachelor's degree in a related field, or Associate Degree in Nursing with an RN certification in a related field required
• Minimum of two years of acute care or interventional/procedural RN experience required
• Minimum of two years of Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred
• Previous charge nurse and operating room board-running experience preferred
• Nursing specialty certification preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
