Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse for our Open Heart Surgery Department. The role ensures high‑quality, efficient care in a surgical environment and supports the cardiac team during operative procedures.

• Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of intra‑operative cardiac patients.
• Assist surgeons in operative procedures.
• Maintain and review patients’ records, including posting test and examination results.
• Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

• Licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure; active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if holding a compact license.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read and understand written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.
