RN Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Lake Haven Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunedin, Florida. As an RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.

Schedule and Availability

Shifts:

12 hours – Day 7am-7pm, Night 7pm-7am.

RN Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents based on their individual needs and care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor residents’ vital signs, assess their health condition, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Assist in coordinating and supervising the work of licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to ensure the delivery of consistent, safe, and compassionate care.
  • Educate residents and their families on health management, disease prevention, and available support services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic documentation, in adherence to facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff training, and professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures, with a focus on geriatric care.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills to evaluate and respond to residents’ health needs effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Must be able to pass level 2 fingerprinting with an Eligible status.
