CVOR Registered Nurse
The role involves working as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room. The position is for 13 weeks with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday, consisting of four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts. This role requires participation in scheduled call and expected weekend coverage. Experience with circulating and scrubbing cases is preferred. The nurse will perform pediatric CVOR procedures including congenital open hearts and other related surgeries.
The procedures include ASD/VSD repairs, Norwood/Glenn/Fontan surgeries, TAPVR, ECMO, central shunts, arterial switch, arch reconstruction, valve repair/replacement, and heart transplantation. Floating to areas of similar skill sets may be required. One major holiday is included in the holiday requirement. The nurse is expected to handle 10 to 12 call shifts within a 28-day schedule period, specific to cardiac call only.
