RN Supervisor

Westminster Suncoast, a beautiful active living retirement community located in St. Petersburg, is recruiting for a full‑time RN Supervisor (3 pm–11 pm). The supervisor provides direct nursing care to residents, oversees day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants and staff nurses, and ensures compliance with state and federal standards. The supervisor may also provide support to the Director of Nursing to maintain high quality care for all residents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (may be broadened):

• Supervise all floor nurses and staff members to ensure care is provided based on established standards; resolve conflicts between staff members and replace nurses who call‑off or are no‑call/no‑show.
• Assist the ADON/DON with calculating daily staffing needs based on census requirements.
• Review doctors’ orders for new and current residents; ensure care is delivered according to current orders.
• Oversee and assist nurses performing resident assessments.
• Coordinate care through communication with residents’ family members, physicians, and other health care providers.
• Manage family concerns regarding residents’ care.
• Update the ADON/DON on important situations related to residents or the Health Center.
• Enter admission orders in ECS for new residents to the Health Center.
• Assist nurses with managing emergencies in the Health Center or independent living.
• Request supplies for the unit from Central Supply.
