Job Summary

Provides technical oversight for DoD ammunition production programs, ensuring quality requirements, risk mitigation, and timely, accurate customer documentation. Analyzes defects, trends, and root causes to improve product quality, cost, and schedule. Develops and implements process control and improvement methods, testing procedures, and specialized test equipment. Conducts product testing, evaluates defects, and recommends corrective actions. Collaborates with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Functions
  • Lead the implementation, maturity assessment and improvement of all processes throughout the production lifecycle to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment.
  • Leads program team members to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a quality and customer/stakeholder point of view.
  • Identifies Quality Assurance activities to mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with the program team to develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for quality activities.
  • Validates effective internal controls system is in place to verify that processes continue to meet customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Performs audits on program delivery and ensures the use of Quality data analytics to identify risks and nonconformances and ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.
Additional Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing program quality requirements, identifying and mitigating program risks, ensuring on time and accurate submission of Customer Deliverable Documentation Requirements, analyze program defects, trend analysis and conduct root cause analysis as applicable to eliminate defects and improve product quality, cost and schedule.

Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 2‑4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Engineering-related degree.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Program Quality. Issue Resolution. KPI Management. Performance Analysis. Quality Audit. Quality Improvement. Regulatory Compliance. ISO
    9001:2015 Lead auditor or AS9100D Lead Auditor.
  • Relevant Program Quality Engineering experience within Manufacturing, Military, Aerospace/Aviation, Medical industry.
  • TipQA. Six Sigma Green Belt. Project Management
