Quality Technician
Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join their team. As a Quality Technician, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance department, supporting manufacturing operations and ensuring the highest standards of product quality. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.
Location:
St Petersburg, FL
Pay Range: $25.30/hr
Shift: 3rd; 9:45pm-6am
What's the Job?
- Perform functional quality tests on materials accurately and efficiently to ensure product integrity.
- Record and report inspection results, failure analysis, material discrepancies, and defect data using SAP and other databases.
- Conduct detailed visual inspections to assess product quality, making timely decisions on material disposition.
- Coordinate with production line technicians and supervisors when nonconformances are identified or specifications are exceeded.
- Analyze data, create reports, and develop presentation materials for metrics reporting and trend analysis.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing, production, or quality environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of quality inspection practices, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of ISO
9000 - Ability to use calipers and micrometers
