Corporate Protection Officer, Corporate Security and Investigations; Armed Security Position; Part-Time

Job Description Summary Perform generalized and specific security officer duties in order to preserve a safe and secure environment, by providing a highly visible security deterrence and an appropriate armed presence in a corporate environment. • Support an in-house proprietary security force.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment specific to armed security duties, to include a radio, baton, handcuffs, handgun, and other firearms and weapons as required.

• Recommend additions and/or changes in security methods and procedures to management to ensure the overall security of personnel and facilities.
• Evaluate and respond to threats in the workplace.
• Interpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriate.
• Prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Maintain proficiency with their issued firearm and current with all required licenses.

Associate Degree or equivalent and a minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in law enforcement or military police.

OR ~Any equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training approved by Human Resources.

• Valid driver's license required
• CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 120 days after hire.
• State of Florida
• Class D Security License or ability to obtain within 120 days after hire.
• Class G Security License or ability to obtain within 120 days after hire.
